Highlights Amore Pacific is highly active in its corporate social responsibility
activities which includes cares for women and children
The leadership of Amore Pacific is more than willing to participate
in the social responsibility programs
Amore Pacific is a world renown company and is the first in its
industry to DJSI World, DJSI Asia/Pacic, and DJSI Korea
Possible forms of cooperation would be charity donation and
partnered product development
Relevance to UNFPA Why should UNFPA work with AMOREPACIFIC?
Under the slogan of Beautiful People, Better Tomorrow, Amore
Pacific has undertaken various corporate social responsibility activities
such as Make Up Your Life, Pink Ribbon Campaign, and Hope Store to
support women to develop a healthy and beautiful lifestyle. Since 2011,
Make Up Your Life campaign is helping female cancer patients in
China to overcome depression and regain their inner beauty by
offering beauty and make-up tips and it has been very well-received by
hospitals and patients. In 2012, by actively expanding the number of
patients and hospitals, the campaign has become the one of the
representative CSR(corporate social responsibility) campaigns in
China.
Beyond the corporate level, the CEO of Amore Pacific Group donated
one billion KRW to World Food Programme(WFP) last Thursday
(September 25, 2014) to support the welfare of infants and pregnant
women in North Korea. The donation is going to be used for programs
such as One Thousand Program that provides nourishing food for
pregnant and lactating women and infants under two years of age.
Kyung-Bae Suh, the CEO of Amore Pacific, emphasized that the group
cares about the welfare of women and children and is always ready to
give them support.
The companys worldwide reputation will also help promoting
UNFPA not only in Korea but also in neighboring Asian countries.
Amore Pacific is pursuing ethical product development, environment
protection and social contribution to become the most respected
global company in Asia by 2015. According to the worldwide Dow
Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for 2011-12, AMOREPACIFIC has
become the rst in its industry sector to be listed for two straight years
on the DJSI World, DJSI Asia/Pacic, and DJSI Korea. In addition, it was
named the World Leader and Koreas Best Company in the Personal
Products segment for two consecutive years.
The company has readily joined the UN Global Compact in 2007, in
pursuit of sustainable management that matches the global standards
and was admitted to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI
World) in 2010.

for Cooperation
What would be the forms of cooperation that we can pursue?
For the reasons above, we can expect positive response from
AMOREPACIFIC on our partnership. If they are willing, we can put
UNFPAs name on their products, and we can even expect periodic
donation by the company itself.
