Social Justice is the largest and most important form of justice to most societies. Social justice is
usually influenced by the controlling religion and government group; it is often a main interest to the
entire people because it founds an ethical code of conduct for the crowd. Social justice is a concept that
combats for the right of every individual for the opportunities obtainable in the society, regardless of the
class, age, gender, or race. However, Education is a fundamental human rights and essential to achieving
economic growth and sustaining a healthy society. Considering that, education is one of major factor in
social justice issues that takes place almost everywhere in the world. Often time, Lower class individuals
are more likely to attend schools of lower quality and less prestige than those attended by their upper class
counterparts. Because members of high social classes have the ability to be better educated and have
higher incomes, so they are able to offer greater educational advantages such as private schooling to their
children. In the other hand, low class parents are limited resources and live in poor areas, and since the
schools are funded by property taxes within the school district. Poor areas will provide not enough taxes
as revenue, which can lead to less quality schools. Education inequality is one of the important factor that
keeps the class divide across generations.

A friend of mine would be a perfect example of education inequality; I had a friend (his name is
Abdul-Aziz from back home whom I was raised and studies with. Abdul-Aziz was my neighbor and we
had the same class. We used to spend the entire time together playing soccer, seeing a movie, or traveling.
We were in the same level of education and we had the same education till the high school. However, He
always kept telling me one day I will be a doctor, but unfortunately after we graduated from middle
school, Abdul-Azizs father was dead and as consequence Abdul-Azizs family had a lack of financial
resources. Therefore he had to leave the private school that we were in because he could not pay the
schools fees, and he had been transferred to a public school where there were shortage of educational
tools and the classes were full of students with different educational level that are forced together. Beside
all of that Abdulaziz made it and graduated from high school but sadly he could not make the dream me
because the university fees were above his capacity to afford it, instead he start working.

While I was searching about the American education system I found an interesting report in New
York Times. The reports was published in 2007 and it reports that under NCLB (No Child Left Behind
Act) before stating the report, I would like to introduce NCLB Act, it is the current version of the
Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA)the principal federal law affecting public education
from kindergarten through high school in the United States. The above report states that over one
thousand schools in California and over four hundred schools in Florida were on the edge of shutting
down because of not meeting the new requirements. The purpose of the act is to save the student, is rather
the devourer of the student, all because education is being measured according to a standardize test.
Curriculums of those schools have been cut in order to simply teach what is on the test.
Failing Schools Strain to Meet U.S. Standard
I think ensuring justice and equality in the education system will block many of negative
consequences that might cause slowness in the country growth. Failure to supply all students in a country
leads to a group of people have the time to be involved in many different social crimes as well as bad
habits such as drug trafficking and alcohol abuse. But also I think educate everyone equally will empower
the society economically because all society will have the skills and information of earning a desirable
living conditions.
