Planning AIM Question: How does changing temperature affect the resistance of the copper?
Hypothesis: Research: Resistance: The amount of object tries to stop the electricity from flowing Temperature: the heating of the wire when the current flow through Current: The flow of electricity flow around the circuit Voltage: The amount of electricity flow around the circuit
Prediction: I predict that as the temperature effect, the resistance will go down.
Variables: Dependent: The resistance of the Copper Independent: The temperature of the Copper Controlled: The length of wire will be the same, same amount of water and all other equipment will be the same.
Method:
I will get use many different temperature of water. I will cut 15cm for each of the wire with a ruler to measure. Monireach Eng Grade 9 Science September 17, 2014 I will put the wire into a 100 ml of water that have same room temperature, and then clip the wire with alligator clip to connect the circuit. I will turn the amount the voltage of the power pack to see the temperature of the copper using a thermometer.

Description of the chart
The data of the chart show the trend line is in a straight line, but in a vertical line. The formula shows me that has a negative decimal number of 0.00004. I would think that the temperature has no affects the resistance of the wire.
Conclusion
I found out that the more temperature changes, the resistance doesnt change. I found that some of the data point does not get close to the trend line. It doesnt follow the trend line because it faraway each other. I think that the temperature that low down the wire. It doesnt increase or decrease itself, that it stays slightly in a straight line. My conclusive statement does not follow my hypothesis
