The Center for Disease Control is a great website for up to date information on local
communicable diseases. This website is a tell all about any disease that the human body can
contract. With Type 2 diabetes being one of the top diseases in the U.S. the CDC has a plethora
of information about the information on this site. It gives information about prevention, and
control of the disease. This website also gives information on contaminated food and animals in
different areas. The CDC not only gives facts about internal diseases, but you can find
information about motor vehicle crash injuries as well. This website tells about losing weight
and how to maintain a healthy body mass index. http://www.cdc.gov/

2) My fitness pal
I think that this website is a great website, because it serves as a mobile calorie counter that
really works. It always has up to date apps that make counting calories a breeze. The app
actually reminds you to log in during the day. Its completely free and doesnt require a credit
card at any point in using it. Its compatible with any smart phone. Myfitnesspal even tells you
how many calories you need to cut or add to your diet to achieve your fitness goal. I have used
it personally for three years and I have learned to count calories by looking at food before I put
it on my plate. You can also log fitness activity as well on this app.

and its importance in the community. The authors of this book talk about different diets,
vitamins, and vitamins deficiencies in different communities.


4) Fitness for Kids
I frequent this website often, because I get ideas for my children. This website has great ideas
to get children active. It reminds everyone how different times are now that electronics have
taken place of outside activities. This organization teaches children how to eat healthy while
respecting their bodies. They teach the children how to get active and stay active, by swapping

1) This Encyclopedia discusses organisms that are produces through biotechnology and
genetically engineering and basically involve genetic modifications in which genetic
materials is added o removed to alter the genetic structure of the organism. The
issue with GMOs is that the advancement of technology and the introduction of
GMOs into the human food chain has prompted allegation that it causes cancer,
and unknown issues that may develop over time.

2) Fat, sick and nearly Dead. Cross, Joe. (2010)

Joe Cross who is the author of this book has had a rare autoimmune disease for nine
years from an adult life filled with bad eating, which has made him obese. His
doctor placed him on steroids which had negative effects. He decided to change his
eating habits for sixty days. He did a fresh juice diet and documented it daily on film.
He then did a secondary micro-nutrient based diet, which is largely comprised of
plant products.


Stress relief
1) Meditation is a great way to relieve stress. Though it takes lots of practice to
master it is proven to work, once the mind is quieted. This website is for
beginners, and I used to frequent this website when I first began to meditate for
information on why it was not working for me. Its full of information and links

This is a website that uploads professional yoga videos to help combat stress and
anxiety. It has been proven to help calm nerves, quiet the mind and invite you into a
clear and delicious sense of embodiment. The mindful breathing, Yin Yoga, a
slowflow. And a subtle body energy practice called Jin Shin Jyutsu will prepare you
for the day. The only downfall about this video is that its only recorded in English.
