with the religious spirit that exalts routine without purpose

UNDERSTAND THREE KEY THINGS:
1. Vision gives pain a purpose
2. Wisdom is the architect of creativity

3. There is a creative process

VISION GIVES PAIN A PURPOSE
Without a vision of where we are heading, it is too
hard to endure the pain life brings to us all.

Where there is no revelation the people cast off restraint
- Prov 29:18

Without vision we are vulnerable to despair,
bitterness, anger and violence the reactions of those
who perceive themselves as powerless.
WISDOM IS THE ARCHITECT OF CREATIVITY
DISCUSS
Wisdom and creativity are related subjects in the Bible. In fact,
creativity is a manifestation of wisdom in the context of
excellence and integrity.

Wisdom is personified in Proverbs 8, and is the companion of
God at the creation of all things.

While most Christians have a value for wisdom, most do not
have an equal value for the role of creativity in their God-given
responsibilities.

We were born to partner with wisdom to live in it and display
it through creative expression.

God is made known through his works. When his works flow
through his children, their identity is revealed and there is an
inescapable revelation of the nature of God in the land.


The world has longed for a message they can experience. Yet
many believers simply tried to make the good news more
intellectually appealingThe natural mind cannot receive the
things of God

When creativity is the normal expression of Gods people, [Gods
enemies] become disheartened
(Zech 1:18-21)

WISDOM IS THE ARCHITECT OF CREATIVITY
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
THERE ARE FOUR KEY ELEMENTS IN THE PROCESS:
1. Conceive what you want to create (the vision)

2. Acknowledge current reality (the mirror or ruler)


3. Take steps to close the gap (action)

4. Test, evaluate and refine your creation
To see the world in a grain of sand
and heaven in a wild flower,
hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour

PRINCIPLES OF THE CREATIVE LIFE
You create what you embody

Problem solving is NOT creating

Creators are motivated by love, not fear

Creators lives are defined by their vision not their
circumstances



SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES OF CREATIVITY
Creating should be the natural expression of being full
of the spirit (Ex 31:3-5)

Eternity is set within our hearts (Ecc 3:11) and the spirit
calls it forth (John 7:38)

We are made in the Creators image and we carry the
essence of life (John 10:10)

We are called to partner with the same spirit that
raised Christ from death to create new life in this
world (Rom 8:11)

To create is to wage war against death and the curse
it represents life, hope and possibility (John 10:10)
