Preparing an advanced Information Center for residents of Chungnam province

Chungnam Province has prepared an advanced information center at the Metropolitan Government Office and it has begun
operating.

on Jan 22nd, according to Chungnam Province the Centre for Computer Education has been installed on the second floor of
Annex Copper, next to the Metropolitan Government Office. This has 41 computers, electronic lecture desk, beam projector,
official replicator and the overall area being 147 square meters.

The Province runs programs such as basic computer skills, Internet searching, UCC video production as well as instruction of
smartphones, mobile devices, SNS(Social Network Service) until March 15th at the Centre for Computer Education.

This programme hopes to recruit 800 Naepo New Town residents, or nearby locals and the programs will be taken people by
occasional recruiting.
Through these courses, Chungnam province hopes to give these residents more opportunities in life-long education. This, it is
hoped, will improve residents' quality of life and increases the social participation of local people who are "information
underprivileged". This should help overcome something of the information gap between urban and rural areas, and between
generations. Also the province expect that these courses will attract customer satisfaction service.

Although having the Centre for Computer Education for Chungnam residents, the Province also has one for public officials,
located on the fourth floor of the main Metropolitan Government Office. These facilities are being used as a support centre for
training officials in the use of various programs related to their work.
