Naepo new twon is the symbol of the Korean West Coast Era"

Hee-Jung An, the Governor of Chungnam province, had a meeting with the officials at the
metropolitan government office this February. In the meeting, he talked about the history of
the locations of the Chungnam provincial office. It was first situated in Gongju in 1896,
moved to Daejeon in 1932 and recently in to Hongseong/Yesan in 2012. These transfers of
the provincial office were eventually had to be decided.

In addition, he announced that moving the provincial office to Naepo new town is natural
course of development for the province. Moving the provincial office to Naepo new town
signals the start of a new era: West Coast Era.
