Who is the company owned by?

What is the size of the organisation? How many member of staff are there?

How many locations does the business have?

Draw and organisation chart for Thomas William Travel, how do they link with
each other?

Simon Dinham
At the moment it is a small company because it is not on the high street and is mainly web
based, the organisation does not require many staff.
There is only one location which is in Weston College, this is because the business is run
from home.

Who is going to be responsible for marketing? Who is going to help with it?

What promotions do they/could they offer?

What products and services do they offer e.g travel insurance, flights, holidays,
excursions?

What are the health and safety issues in the organisation?

Simon is going to be responsible for marketing but his sales agents are going to help him,
and sometimes take over the job when he has other things to do.
Thomas William Travel promote themselves on their Facebook page and Twitter page.
Thomas William Travel offers travel insurance, airport transfers, private airport transfers,
foreign currency, airport hotels, airport parking, excursions, attraction tickets and car hire.
The location of Thomas William Travel is up 4 flights of stairs, which isnt very accessible
for an organisation as customers may be unable to get there unlike if it were to be located
onto the bottom floor. This is also bad in the thought of a fire, because the lifts would be
out of use and up 4 flights of stairs it will be difficult. For someone who is disabled the
room Simon is located in isnt very accessible because the room is in the shape and layout
of a classroom and it would be difficult to move around.

What role will you play in the organisation? What will be your responsibilities?

What are the roles and responsibilities of Simon at Thomas William Travel?

What do you think are the strengths of Thomas William Travel?

What do you think are the weaknesses of Thomas William Travel?

Sales agent, my responsibilities will be selling the holidays, making sure we are keeping up
the profit.
To turn up on time.
Act professional.
Be informative.
Knowledgeable.

The profit being brought in at the moment is very high for a business of that size. Being
mainly web-based which is now a popular way of booking holidays there is going to be a lot
of interest.
There isnt much advertisement so not many people are going to know about Thomas
William Travel. It is only small but if he had shops on the high street then he could get a lot
more business.

Who is going to be competition for Thomas William Travel?

Bigger travel agents on the high street such as Thomas Cook and Thompsons are going to
get more business because they are better known, they have shops open on the high street
and their advertisement is much more stronger than Thomas William Travel.
Being on the high street will gain him more customers which means more profit. This could
lead to the business expanding and becoming as big as Thomas Cook or Thomson.

999 and 101 calls and dispatched police officers to the prioritised jobs. For the
other 2 days I worked in Weston Police station with the PCSOs. In 2014 I worked

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a 16 year old student looking for a part time job that I can work around my Travel
and Tourism course at college. I have experience in serving customers, I have good
customers service, and I also have experience in cleaning and kitchen work.
In my enclosed CV you will be able to see that I had work experience where I have had to
cooperate with a lot of different people in different situations. I see this is as a good
opportunity to work with many people where you have to work together to produce
something for the company.
I hope that you are able to find a job opportunity for me as it would be highly
appreciated.
Look forward to hearing from you soon,

Megan Brunt
