Critical Thinking/Reflection

The rules I started with this semester worked out quite well as I observed students following the
rules on a regular basis. If I were to move into teaching a higher grade level I feel that I would have to
adjust the rules in order to meet the needs of older students. The management plan that I started with
this semester consisting of the 'Class ojo' point s!stem with has turned out to be more time consuming
than I had e"pected. I learned that m! point s!stem was e"tremel! motivating for students and that
students responded ver! well to m! management s!stem but having the Ipad on me at all times and
giving points throughout the da! was ver! difficult. I have decided that when in m! own classroom I
will create a paper chart that will be easier to record data on then after school I will be able to transfer
the points to the program.
#ith the negative in 'Class ojo' not being that negative$ I found a positive aspect that blew me
out of the water$ the parent component. The parent communication component of 'Class ojo' is
unbelievabl! convenient. Their is an instant message option that makes communication with parents
quick and familiar for each of them. %arents were also able to see their child&s behaviors in school
without having to repl! on information being brought home from their child. 'verall I feel I have a
great start in place for rules and management but I know ever!one has room to improve.
