It is with true excitement that I request your consideration for a position as an elementary or
middle school teacher within the Clark County School District. I earned my B.A. Degree, at Nevada
State College, in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education. As a passionate
and dedicated teaching professional, I have a broad range of experience with children and am
prepared and ready to contribute to your school district. My resume is enclosed for your review.
I completed my student teaching at Gibson Elementary School in both fifth grade and
intermediate resource. Through student teaching and substitute teaching in the Clark County School
District, I have become familiar with a variety of teaching strategies and educational resources. As a
substitute for the school district, I have worked in several different classrooms ranging from pre-k
autism to 8th grade English. My experience in those different grade levels helped me develop my
understanding of many different learning styles.
While student teaching, I collaborated with fifth grade teachers, literacy strategists, and the
intermediate resource teacher in order to help create the best possible learning experiences for
students. I am compassionate toward students but also want to promote responsibility in my
classroom. I believe in creating a 'community' learning environment while continuing to hold
students to the expectation of being ready by exit.
I look forward to being a teaching candidate in the city that I love so much. Thank you for
