"Misterman" enjoyed sold-out runs and glowing reviews from
audiences and critics when it premiered at the 2011 Galway
Arts Festival, followed by the New York premiere at St. Ann's
Warehouse. "Misterman" is headed to Colorado with the news
that Mr. Walsh's critically acclaimed hit play, will feature
Olympia Dukakis voicing the role of Mammy. The play will
be directed by Melissa Firlit and the role of Thomas Magill
will be played by New York actor Craig MacArthur.
"Misterman" opens at the Thingamajig Theatre Company's 99-
seat black box on September 26th and runs through October
12th. The production will then relocate to Denver this fall
before returning to New York in spring of 2015.
Announcing this exciting premiere as part of the Thingamajig
Theatre 's fall lineup, Artistic Director Tim Moore stated,
"Enda Walsh is one of today's most prolic Irish playwrights
and Olympia Dukakis is a national treasure on stage and
screen. It is also a pleasure to have the superb Melissa Firlit
and Craig MacArthur team up on our stage once again. We are
delighted and proud to be hosting the Colorado premiere in
Pagosa Springs."
Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis has appeared in
signature roles in more than 60 feature and short lms,
including Cloudburst, Mr. Holland's Opus, Steel Magnolias,
Dad, Look Who's Talking I, II & III, Mighty Aphrodite,
Jeffrey, and Away From Her. Her more than 40 television credits include Bored to Death (most recent), Last
of the Blond Bombshells (Judi Dench), Sinatra (Golden Globe Nominee), Joan of Arc (Emmy Nominee),
Tales of the City, More Tales of the City (Emmy Nominee), and Further Tales of the City. Her New York
theatre credits include Who's Who in Hell, Social Security, Rose (Drama Desk Award Nominee) and The
Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore, and Dukakis has performed in more than 130 productions Off-
Broadway and regionally at theaters including A.C.T., Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare & Co., and
Williamstown Summer Theatre Festival, where she also served as Associate Director. She was most recently
seen at Shakespeare & Co. last year in the title role of Mother Courage and Her Children, and will appear at

New Repertory Theatre in Spring 2015 in The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore.
Craig MacArthur is a New York City based actor and graduate of the prestigious Mason Gross School of the
Arts at Rutgers University. MacArthur has received glowing reviews for his portrayal of Judas in The last
Days of Judas Iscariot, Joey in A Steady Rain, and Trevor in The Submission, at The Olney Theatre Center.
He made his NYC stage debut in The Northern Kingdom, which was written by Nancy Fales Garret and
directed by director/actress Dorothy Lyman. His most recent work was at the Pagosa Springs Center for the
Arts was in the thrilling production of Red, (director Melissa Firlit) in which he portrayed Mark Rothko's
(Dennis Elkins) struggling young assistant.
Melissa Firlit is a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she received her
masters in Directing. Firlit has been nominated for and won various awards at festivals across the New York
area. Her accolades include best direction, best ensemble and best variety show. She teaches at the renowned
McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, New Jersey as well as Wagner College of Staten Island. Her work has
been featured in the Fringe NYC, Midtown International Festival, DreamUp Festival, Edinburgh Festival,
The Zipper Factory, The Pulse Theater, Soho Playhouse, Orlando Fringe Festival, Theatre Tuscaloosa, The
Crossroads Theater, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Rutgers University, Wagner College, and the Pagosa Springs
Center for the Arts.
The creative team also includes Elaine Wong (lighting design) and Matthew Bittner (sound design).
Produced by Tim and Laura Moore, and Resolve productions, this regional premiere is being crowd funded
