So far as a group we have moved on quickly and have planned out everything that we

need to do so that we keep on top of our project and make sure that we get the best out
of things such as skills learnt and the work done within the group.
To this day so far we have worked as a team and individually, showing each other our
strengths and helping one another with our weaknesses. We have planned our expert
interviews, of which are with a pple employee and a !ilm"#edia teacher within our
college and also we have asked a sociology expert as well. lso last week me and
bby went into Solihull to film background footage, we asked shops such as
$%&change and games if we could film in their shop window as the display of phones
relates to our topic question and what we are trying to answer in the end 'are phones
(ecessity or )uxury*+. We managed to get quite a fair bit of footage but we will have
to sift through it to find the best bits or use the footage as a montage.
To combine our skills and have something different in our documentary we have used
stop motion when filming mobile phones and the way they have changed over the
years. ,y doing this it is showing that the development of phones over the years has
lead to people either finding them a necessity or a luxury. We also have used stop
motion when writing on a white board, however it may not work the way that have
planned it to work, but by doing it we have learnt an extra skill and it shows the
progress we have made as a group when we complete our final documentary and will
prove how hard and well we have worked together to produce something.
Today '-."/."/0+ we filmed two vox pops to add more detail and to get a better
perspective of the publics view on mobile phones and the effects they can have on
teens. 1ur interviewees gave detailed answers on the questions which they were
asked. !ilming a vox pop may seem easy to some but you have to put a lot of thought
into it. 2lanning and positioning are the main things needed to make it work. 2lanning
the arrangement of the vox pop with people and then creating the questionnaires, but
they have to be planned to make the interviewee answer them with their thoughts only
and for the questions to only be a guide for them.
