Undergraduate Researcher; Department of Defense, Material Science Lab. Faculty Advisor:
Aswini Pradhan, Ph.D
- Researching efficacy of resistive memory, an alternative type of random access memory
(RAM).
- Assist doctoral students in laboratory to grow and test new materials for resistive memory.

Undergraduate Researcher; Material Science Lab. Faculty Advisor: Roy Clarke, Ph.D.
- Researched innovative approaches to improve the use of magnetic memory.
- Reviewed literature on magnetic memory and served on research team with doctoral students
that measured the curvature of thin films in the presence of various magnetic fields or thermal
sources.
- Currently working with research team to produce a manuscript with the results of the study.


University of Virginia School of Astro-Chemistry Summer 2011
Undergraduate Assistant Researcher; Chemistry Lab, Faculty Advisor: Brooke Pate, Ph.D.
- Built and tested a spectrometer alternative frequency ranges for radio telescopes (e.g., between
40GHz- 60GHz).
- Served on research/engineering team that operated radio telescopes to measure relative speeds
of hydrogen clouds in the atmosphere.
- Presented results of research to a panel of astronomers and engineers at the conclusion of the
summer.
