Focus Area: Curriculum

The main focus in this implementation plan is to engage teachers into incorporating
technology into the curriculum on a daily basis. The function of technology in my classroom
provides a way not only to collaborate learning with students, but helps in the actual process of
learning. In other words, technology today is part of learning. I think that more than just supporting
children learning, technology has become the educator. I think that it is important to allow students to
be taught with innovating and exciting devices and the position of teachers should be of a guided
supporter. As teachers provide assistance with technological instruction, students will become not
only motivated for learning but also self-efficient. By incorporating a Integrated Learning System
(ILS) teachers can establish a successful a manageable system that simplifies the incorporation of
technology in the classroom. As a result students will acquire a sense of self-accomplishment.
(Shelly, 2012, p.130)

Goals Expected to Achieve

Teacher will collaborate with resource teachers in following up with technological
instruction based on the specified need of the student. During the school day homeroom teacher
will provide students with the opportunity to incorporate the use of technological devices to
accompany any intervention program. Leanings in the intervention block will be applied during
the remaining of the school day. Students will be expect to achieve knowledge in current
technology terms, usage and applications, but also to handle future technological development. In
other words I expect them to learn techniques that will help become successful in my future
academic development.

Timeline for Implementation of Goals

Teachers will need to establish a hand and hand curriculum/technological system that will
initiate the incorporation of intervention technology in the classroom within the first trimester.
During the second trimester, an implementation evaluation will be discussed during PLC meeting
discussing additional ways to implement a productive tech intervention program that will allow
students to improve technology skills. By the third trimester, based on students improvement, basic
technology usage and consistency from an individualize computer program report will show the
usage of technology in the classroom.

Action Plan for Goal Achievement

Students will be taught with innovating and exciting devices and the teachers
position should be of a guided supporter. Teacher will provide assistance with
technological instruction, allowing students to become not only motivated for learning
but also self-efficient. As a result my students will acquire a sense of self-
accomplishment.
In addition, technology implementation will also provides excellent parent/teacher
communication. Student success comes hand in hand with parent involvement. Emails,
blogs, wikis are just a few ways parents can become involve in their children education.
Furthermore, technology also allows learning to continue at home. Instructional videos
will be available at home for students to view and learn with their parents and are very
powerful tools for learning, as has been stated by Shelly in Teachers Discovering
Computers, Videos can be a key component of digital media (Shelly, 2012, p.39).
Methods for measuring the action plan

Based on Halls Artifact Analysis method (SAAM) a technology implementation
section rubric will be incorporated to determine if technology has been applied
meaningfully into the day-by-day curriculum. (Hall, 2012, p. 98)
