many experiments and have used credible sources to gather their data. In regards to their information, all their
studies have credible sources to refer to. This article supports, Implementation of an Automated Grading System
with an Adaptive Learning Component to Affect Student Feedback and Response Time due to the fact that it is
reinstating the fact that school grades cause stress towards stress, also including the fact that family pressures to do
good in school adds another weight of stress that puts students in a tremendously stressful position.

Within this article, by Fleming, Charles B. Haggerty, Kevin P.Catalano, Richard F.Harachi, Tracy W.Mazza, James J.
Gruman, Diana H. the article assessed whether characteristics of individuals that are predictors of youth problem
behavior such as substance use, delinquency, and violence also predict academic achievement. Results indicated that
higher levels of school bonding and better social, emotional, and decision-making skills were related to higher test
scores and higher grades. Lower test scores and lower grades were predicted by elevated levels of attention
problems, negative behavior of peers, and disruptive and aggressive behavior. Lower test scores also were predicted
by early use of alcohol and cigarettes. The author is credible because, the author(s) lists their credentials. The
publication is peer reviewed, and has high standards. Also the author(s) has written other articles. This article both
supports and refutes other articles because, it is promoting the idea that school grades contribute to a students
behavior and that social factors affect grading, but also that grading system is needed in order to keep track of a
students ability to process information and apply the knowledge in circumstances.

STUDENT PERCEPTION OF COURSE IMPORTANCE ON STUDENT PREFERENCE OF TEAM-BASED
LEARNING AND GRADING METHODS. Adolescence, 42(168), 805-826.
The article, written by Su Allen is based upon examining the method of the grading system, and the importance of
the grading system. The article also has taken the consideration of students opinions on the grading system and has
gathered personal opinions of students and their feelings towards the grading system and wether their is a bias in the
system. The findings also reveal a negative correlation between student perception of course importance.Findings
note the importance of teachers' grading methods. The author is credible because, the author(s) lists their credentials.

The article is based on the European change of grading system and how they have changed the grading system and
why they did so. The article touches upon the reason behind the change in the grading system is to bring the grades
in line with the rest of Europe as part of the Bologna process. This allows students to have a more positive look on
school without the pressure of grades determining their ability and their knowledge. The author is credible because,
the author(s) lists their credentials. The publication is peer reviewed, and has high standards. Also the author(s) has
written other articles. This article supports other articles found by showing what a positive outcome would be granted
by abolishing the grading system. Also this is a prime example of how other countries are taking in consideration of
how the grading system is unnecessary and the stress that it brings upon students.

of an individuals social skills. The author is credible because, the author(s) lists their credentials. The publication is
peer reviewed, and has high standards. Also the author(s) has written other articles. This article refutes previous
articles because, it is portraying the positive impacts that the grading system has and how it can determine an
individuals ability to process information and apply it. This article will be useful within my research essay because,
it will shed some light on the controversy of why many people are in favor of the grading system and why it is seen
to be positive.
