1. Choose someone with whom to conduct a conference. You may conference
with the same person only once during the nine weeks. This means that you will have to choose a variety of people to examine your writing. 2. The person writing the piece should have the peer conference form. When a conference spot is available, both writer and peer should have a seat in that spot. If no conferences spot is available, wait until one opens up. 3. Begin the conference with the peer reading the writers paper. 4. The peer should then examine the self-revision/edit sheet filled out by the writer. Peers should make the writer aware of any questions answered incorrectly. 5. Next, the peer should do the peer conference form completely. It is the writers responsibility to make sure this is done; the writers grade will be impacted by any incomplete forms. 6. After completing the form, the peer should make any other suggestions to the writer. These may include additional elements of support, structural suggests, as well as correcting grammar and spelling problems. 7. The conference should last no longer than ten minutes. This means that you will discuss only writing. Both the writer and the peer will lose participation points if the conference exceeds the time limit. Exceptions will be made only for long pieces of writing.
