Palma-Ibarra specializes in oil
paintings. His art is motivated by
nature, people, and animals. The
colors used in his oil paintings are
mainly brown, blue, red, and yellow.
Studied medicine at the University
of Florence, Italy.
Became a member of the Higher
Council of Culture of the
Nicaraguan Institute of Culture,
1990.
After that, he became the Head of
Plastic Arts of the Nicaraguan
Institute of Culture, also in 1990.
Started the "Foundation-Museum
Hugo Palma Ibarra, in Managua,
Nicaragua in 2004.
