Chloroplast

Chloroplasts absorb
sunlight and use it in
conjunction with water
and carbon dioxide gas
to produce food for the
plant.

chlorplasts are similar
to an oven. they use
energy (sunlight) and
food stuffs (water and
carbon dioxide) and
make food (energy)
Cell wall
Its a layer of
polysaccharides lying
outside the plasma
membrane of the cells
of plants, fungi, and
bacteria.

You can compare this to
a wall because its a
rigid structure that
protects the inside of
whats in it
Rough er
Rough ER is found
throughout the cell but
the density is higher
near the nucleus and
the Golgi apparatus.

You can compare this to
a storage facility
because it stores stuff.
Smooth er
It synthesizes lipids,
phospholipids, and
steroids.

Smooth ER is like a
factory, or processing
plant, that makes fats
and certain hormones
(steroids), processes
carbohydrates, and
controls calcium, and
helps in detoxification.
golgi
is the modifying,
sorting and packaging
of proteins for
secretion. It is also
involved in the
transport of lipids
around the cell, and the
creation of lysosomes.

golgi can be compared
to a post office. They
sort, package, and
deliver particles to
various places in the cell
Vacuoles/vesicles
vacuoles are storage.
mainly found in plant
cells, vacuoles store
mostly water,
sometimes a little bit of
food. in the terms of a
city, you could think of
a vacuole possibly as a
sort of giant retention
pond, or as a water
tower that stores
water.

vesicles, on the other
hand, are meant for
transportation. for
example, it would be a
vesicle that transports
Large central vacuole
It is a cellular organelle
found in plant cells. It is
often the largest
organelle in the cell. It is
surrounded by a
membrane
and functions to hold
materials and wastes.
It can be a school
because it nurishes the
kids and is surrounded
my a lot of
membrain
lysosomes
Lysosomes are
organelles that contain
digestive enzymes.
They digest excess or
worn out organelles,
food particles, and
engulfed viruses or
bacteria.

The can be compared
to flies because the
digest nasty stuff
centrioles
A centriole is a small set
of microtubules
arranged in a specific
way. The centrioles are
found in pairs and move
towards the poles of
the nucleus when it is
time for cell division.
The can be compared
to straws in a plasic
wraping at rite aid
because they are
arranged in the same
order
microtubules
They are responsible for
various kinds of
movements in all
eukaryotic cells.
Microtubules are
involved in nucleic and
cell division,
organization of
intracellular structure,
and intracellular
transport.
You can compare them
to a road, because
various structures in the
cell are carried along
these microtubules.
