Philosophy of Early Childhood Education

I believe...in the value of play. Children are curious. Through exploration,

stimulating activities, and hands-on learning, students acquire beneficial life skills
such as cooperation, respect, and sharing, as well as social, academic, and emotional
skills that are developmentally necessary for growth.
I believe...in approaching education with passion. I will demonstrate my
passion for students and for learning by creating authentic learning experiences.
My students will know that they are valued, respected, and an important part of
our classroom community. With this, positive relationships will be fostered.
I believe...in the benefits of enthusiasm and optimism. I will encourage my
students daily to be all that they can be and to love the person they are. I will
build upon my students strength, encourage creativity and greet each challenge
with a willing heart and positive spirit.
I believe...in a safe, healthy, and child-friendly learning environment.
Students will not learn when they feel unsafe or in any way threatened. My
classroom will be a warm, comfortable environment that encourages growth and
discovery. The appropriate level of structure will be implemented according to
activity.
