Kurt Schrader for Congress Campaign Manager Spring - Fall 2012, Gladstone, OR
Ran campaign operations and coordinated GOTV efforts among legislative and local candidates in Clackamas
and Marion counties. Worked on messaging and fundraising for the campaign, raising $1.75 million and
winning by 11.5% in the fifth congressional district.

Oregon House Democratic Office Chief of Staff/Research Director Fall 2010 Spring 2011, Salem, OR
Chief of Staff: Responsible for overseeing legislative agenda for upcoming 2011 Legislative Session and
supervising three staff members. Research Director: Monitored 2011 Session House Committees, floor sessions
and media for every representative. Issued weekly reports with details to Democratic Leader. Also served as a
recruiter for Future PAC, the political PAC for the House Democrats.

Congressman Kurt Schrader District Aide Spring 2009 Fall 2010, Salem, OR
Represented the Congressman in three counties and planned outreach in the district. Specialized in natural
resources and education issues in the district and performed relevant casework in those areas for constituents.

Forward Oregon Deputy State Director Fall 2008, Portland, OR
Directed and hired staff for statewide field operations for Democratic coordinated campaign. Supervised a staff
of over 40 that identified over 300,000 targeted voters for Jeff Merkley for US Senate and got out the vote for
the entire Democratic ticket.

Hillary Clinton for President Oregon Field Director Spring 2008, Portland, OR
Directed statewide field operations for campaign across 12 offices. Supervised a staff of over 40 that made over
843,000 voter contacts by phone with volunteers over a six-week period. Volunteered for the campaign in
Texas and South Dakota.

Astro Data Services Political Strategist Spring 2005 Spring 2008, Corvallis, OR
Directed all marketing for Democratic parties and campaigns for voter file company, in addition to servicing
clients. Served as Business Manager for $1 million in annual receipts, and worked with Ohio SEIU and
Democratic parties in Oregon, Colorado, Louisiana and Kansas.

America Coming Together Oregon Field Director Summer/Fall 2004, Portland, OR
Directed statewide field operation for ACT and helped to increase turnout and registration in targeted counties
and carry the state for John Kerry. Supervised a canvass staff of over 600 that made 1.2 million door knocks
and registered 50,000 voters. Created targeting plan, hired senior staff, and served as GOTV Director.

Future PAC Oregon House Democrats General Consultant Winter/Spring 2004, Portland, OR
Served as consultant for fourteen House Representative campaigns, wrote field and fundraising plans, hired and
placed staff, developed message and coordinated press for candidates.

Delaware Democratic Party Executive Director Winter/Spring 2003, Newport, DE
Ran general operations for the party, was responsible for financial compliance, wrote both the coordinated
campaign and general operating budgets for 2004, directed communication, provided election analysis.

Victory 2002! Kansas City Field Director Summer/Fall 2002, Kansas City, MO
Directed Missouri Democratic Partys field operation in the city, and exceeded vote goals by 8,000. Managed a
staff of six. Exceeded vote goals by ten percent, which included contacting over 100,000 voters through
canvassing and phone banking. Coordinated extensively with labor unions to accomplish this.

EMILYs List Michigan Women Vote! Field Director Summer 2002, Ann Arbor, MI
Managed a staff of fourteen and ran a voter identification and persuasion program in the fifteenth congressional
district that encompassed carrying a petition in the field. Completed 30,000 contacts with 50,000 attempts.

EMILYs List West Virginia Women Vote! Field Director Winter/Spring 2002, Charleston, WV
Managed a staff of five and coordinated a voter history project along with voter identification in the second
congressional district. Made over 10,000 contacts from 25,000 attempts in the field. Joined Margaret Workman
for Congress as GOTV Director in the final weeks.

Ross for State Senate Campaign Manager Fall 2001 Winter 2002, Albany, OR
Wrote campaign plan, established office, raised $35,000 from individuals with an average contribution of $100.
Created fundraising letters, organized volunteers, and edited literature.

No on State Question 695 Oklahoma City Field Director Summer 2001, Oklahoma City, OK
Organized and managed Oklahoma City district ballot measure campaign for the AFL-CIO. Directed canvass
staff of twelve people. Oversaw the get-out-the-vote effort. Targeted precincts and evaluated the vote
identification process.

Office of State Senator Rick Metsger Legislative Assistant Winter/Spring 2001, Salem, OR
Conducted policy research for Senator Metsger during 2001 Legislative Session. Secured committee hearings
for legislation and recruited key witnesses. Represented the Senator as necessary. Directed staff and performed
constituent casework concerning legislation and regulations. Composed press releases to support legislation.

Wirth for State Representative Campaign Manager Summer/Fall 2000, Corvallis, OR
Wirth won with 57%. Managed over one hundred volunteers who canvassed the district three times and mailed
100,000 pieces of literature. Directed the campaign committee and served as liaison between the candidate, the
committee and the consultant. Spokesperson for the campaign.

Linda Harrington for State Representative Campaign Manager Spring/Summer 2000, Prairie City, OR
Wrote campaign plan for candidate Linda Harrington. Targeted the precincts needed to win and determined
the sources of votes. Drafted a budget and scheduled the candidates daily fundraising and voter contact.

Fiddler on the Roof I have been involved in a Corvallis High School production of Fiddler on the Roof
since November 2013, along with my six-year old son. The musical concludes in March 2014. I have worked
extensively with middle and high school students during this time, and have been inspired by them to become a
teacher.


OBJECTIVE

My objective is to student teach in Social Studies, US History and Government or Political Science at the
middle school and high school levels while in the MAT program at Western Oregon University. I also have an
interest in pursuing the ESL program.
