IEN105 Communicative English: How to register for digibook access and online exercises

How to register to Skillful Practice:

1. Look at the inside back cover of your book. At the bottom, there is a sticker with a 13-digit-code
number starting SK ( your token)
2. Go to http://www.skillfuldigibooks.com/
3. On your left, click the button Enter your token details under New User? .

4. Enter your code SK

5. Type the letters you see in the box

6. If this is your first time use Skillful book (this means you do not have a Macmillan student
account), Click here to start.
But, you have already had an account and dont want to create a new one (You have used the
Skillful Book before ), you can log on to the system using your previous username and password)

7. Enter your details.

8. After you finished entering your details, please write down your username, your password and
your email address in the back cover of your book above the sticker ( this is to avoid forgetting
your username, password, email used in registration)

Click I agree to the terms.

9. The below screen shows that your registration is complete. Normally, you can automatically use
the system right away. But in some cases, you may have to wait for 1 hour to gain an access to
the system.

To log on to the system, enter your username and password on the right under (Returning user?).
Then, click Login

Click on the yellow tab

To do the online self-study exercises, click Skillful Practice

Select the unit you would like to do the exercise by clicking at the arrow in front of Unitto allow the
sub-unit tabs to appear on the screen. If you click at the text, nothing will appear.

Complete all of the exercises (Unit 1 -10).

To check your score, return to the main menu by clicking the tab on the top.

Click on the tab Markbook

To register to the online class, click on the tab Class manager

Click Join a new class.

Enter your username and password. Then, click submit.

Enter your class password:

THE CLASS PASSWORD IS LISTED ON THE LAST PAGE.
INSTRUCTOR: PLEASE INPUT YOUR CLASS PASSWORD WHEN YOU HAVE REGISTERED (USING THE
ACCESS CODE PROVIDED IN TEACHERS MANUAL)

Click OK. Your account is now registered to the online class. Your teacher can monitor your progress
online.

To print out the score report, click print report
