Core Values
We are a team.
We do the work to find solutions with guidance from

our Coaches and Mentors.

We know our Coaches and Mentors dont have all the
answers; we learn together.
We honor the spirit of friendly competition.
What we discover is more important than what we
win.
We share our experiences with others.
We display Gracious Professionalism and
Coopertition in everything we do.
We have fun

From our last class

We reviewed Color Sensor functionality and our

testing results
We continue to build a team identity: Name & Chant
We performed a quick demonstration of how the Color
Sensor works with a program that was made a series
of nested switch loops
Standardized Thing #1 & Thing #2 with Color Sensors
mounted on the RIGHT side of the robot, connected
to port #3
We discussed competition judging and review the 3
rubrics that will be used to score each team. We
discussed how we can use the Rubrics to make sure
that our presentations cover the right material that the
judges will be looking for.
Tournament Practice session where we were able to
execute 6 missions in the 2 minute allotted time

Some Programming Reminders:

Both partners should be writing their own programs

and testing different ways to solve the mission.

Save your programs under your own profile.
Program name should end with your initials. Door
CL
Program name should be relatively short and reflect
the mission
Consider executing a mission with a power setting of
50%-75%
If the return to base leg of the mission is relatively
simple, consider increasing the speed to 75%-100%
WORK TOGETHER! Several missions are quite

Tonights Plan:
Continue building our team identity

Discuss our Tournament Rehearsal

Finish our discussion on Judging and Scoring
Standardize Programs loaded on each robot
