Guy Berryman
Guy Berryman is a bassist and plays for the band Coldplay. His full name is Guy Rupert Berryman. He
is currently divorced with his wife and has a daughter, Nico who is eight years old. He was born in
Kirkcaldy, Scotland in 1978. He can play the bass guitar, double bass, and cello, acoustic guitar,
electric guitar, mandolin, piano, keyboards, drums, trumpet, French horn, santoor, percussion,
vocals and the yangqin.
Guy Berryman first started an engineering degree at the University College London. Soon after he
dropped out of his engineering degree and switched to an architecture program at The Bartlett.
Then he dropped out of that degree after meeting Chris Martin, Johnny Buckland and Will Champion
and focused on playing bass for Coldplay.

Will Champion
Will Champion is an English Musician, and is better known as the drummer and backing vocalist of
the band, Coldplay. He was born in Southampton, England on the 31st July 1978. As a child his
musical influences came from Tom Waits, Nick cave and traditional Irish folk music. He learned to
play the piano when he was 8 and he learned to play the guitar when he was 12. Will Champion can
play the Drums, vocals, percussion, timpani, glockenspiel, vibraphone, gong, bells, chimes, acoustic
guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, resonator guitar, banjo, violin, piano, keyboards and recorder.
Before he joined Coldplay, Champion played for a band called Fat Hamster!!
Will Champion was the last of the four Coldplay band members to join the ensemble. He took up the
position of drummer with no outside experience, but quickly adjusted to fill the role. In 1999, the
lead singer, Chris Martin, sacked Will Champion, but the band asked him to return soon after.

Chris Martin
Christopher Anthony John Martin was born on the 2nd of March 1977. He is an English singersongwriter who plays multiple instruments such as vocals, guitar, bass guitar, piano, keyboards,
organ, harmonica, mandolin, trumpet, clarinet, glockenspiel and percussion. Chris is the lead singer,
pianist, rhythm guitarist and one of the founding members of Coldplay. Chris grew up in Exeter,
Devon in England. He is the eldest of five siblings. His father is a retired accountant and his mother
was a music teacher.
While at the University College London, He met Jonny Buckland and they decided to form a band
with Chris on vocals and Jonny as a lead guitarist. They were joined by Guy Berryman who served as
their bass player and Will Champion who learnt how to play drums specifically for the band.

Jonny Buckland
Jonathan Mark Buckland was born on the 11th of September 1977 is an English musician and multiinstrumentalist. He is best known for being the lead guitarist of Coldplay. He was born in Islington,
London on the 11 1977. Jonny Buckland had a daughter, violet in 2007 and a son named Jonah in
2011 with Chloe Evan who he eventually married in 2009. Buckland was a vegetarian for quite some
time but gave up after being in Japan for some time trying to communicate that he didnt eat meat.
He can play multiple instruments such as the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, sitar, lute, mandolin,
piano, vocals, saxophone and the keyboards. Buckland started playing the guitar when he was 11.
After being encouraged by his brother he moved on to study astronomy and mathematics at
University College London, which is where he met his future band mates, and formed the band
Coldplay.
