1.

OpentheSMARTNotebooksoftware.Anewdocumentshouldbecreatedupon
openingtheprogram.

2.

Selectthetexttool.Clickthelocationofwhereyouwouldlikethetitletobeandtype
itintothebox.Repeatthisproceduretotypeintheinstructions.Inordertocustomize
thefont,clickthedifferentAaboxesalongthetoprighthandcorner.

3.

Copyandpastetheparagraphintothepage.Afterward,thefontcanalsobe
adjustedbyhighlightingthetextandchangingthesettingsonthetoprightsectionof
thescreen.Theparagraphcanbelockedbyclickingthearrowicononthetopright
handcornerofthethinrectanglearoundthetext,thenclickingonLockinPlace.

4.

Createthewordbankboxusingtheshapetool.Clickandholdtheleftmouse
buttononthelocationwhereyouwouldlikethetopleftcornerofthebox,thendragthe
outlineoftheboxtothedesiredsize.Releasetheleftmousebuttontocreatethebox.

5.

Clickthetexttooltoaddthetitleofthewordbankboxandthetransitionwords.
AdjustthefontusingtheboxeswiththeAas.Whenyouarefinished,clickthe
locationwhereyouwouldlikethetitletobeandtypeinthetitle.Typeeachtransition
wordthatyouwillremovebyclickingwherethewordwillbeandtypingoneword.
Repeatthisprocedureforeachindividualwordtoensurethattheycanmove
independently.

6.

Replacethetransitionwordswithblanks.Highlighttheoriginalwordand
immediatelytype_multipletimes.Repeatthisstepforeachword.Ifyoudesireequal
lengthsoflines,usethesamenumberof_entriesfortoreplaceeachword.

7.

Theactivityiscomplete!Duringtheactivity,setthecursoronandclickontheView
submenuonthemenubar.ClickFullScreentoconducttheactivityonthe
SMARTBoard.
