and leakage of such light

7. Measure inch sides within the foam board and cut out the center square to create a frame
8. Duct tape the top and bottom of the foam board to diminish resistance
9. Create inch wide support bars and hot glue to the frame
10.
Measure the foam frame in the inside of the box on top (lid) & bottom, and trace
guidelines to cut

11. Cut slots no wider than inch wide and 5 inches long along the traced lines
12. Hot glue the frame to the backside of the box with one slot on top and bottom of the frame
13. Test slots and make sure a 4in. x 5in. piece of paper will easily fall through both holes
14. Get a thin piece of aluminum can 1in. x 1in. and find the exact center
15. Measure a needle with a caliper and make sure the widest part of the needle is around .4cm
16. Slowly poke needle in the center of the tin, while continuously sanding away the dimple on
either side with sand paper and repeat until the needle breaks through, and it becomes the
desired aperture
17. Cut a 1in. x 1/2in. centered hole through the box on the opposite side from the frame, this
will be where the aperture is placed so it must be adequately centered

22. Place Velcro on one end of the aperture cover and corresponding Velcro on one side to
secure the cover when it is in the down mode
23. Place another piece of Velcro on the opposite side of the aperture cover where the cover
will hit when placed in open mode
24. Cut a piece of foam board 1in. x in. and hot glue to the side of the cover that touches the
aperture directly, in order to prevent any light from getting in, and duct tape around the foam
to ensure as little resistance as possible

33. Hot glue the side of the corner pieces with only one support piece on the top of the box,
therefore the stacked support pieces should be hot glued to the back side of the box
34. The other two corner pieces should have the stacked support pieces on the backside, and
the single support pieces on the bottom of the box, measure 1in. from the edges of the box and
hot glue down
35. Test rods and place through the corner pieces and slide, if there is any extra room add duct
tape to the rod or cardboard if needed, the slots must be tight and secure
36. Once the rods are finished, securely place them into their corner pieces
