China Culture Essay

Introduction:

I am a Chinese girl that is in 6th grade. I have no siblings but one mum
and one dad. I was born in 2003/10/10 Shenzhen, China which is really near
by HongKong. I lived in lots of places such as: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, China,
Germany(these are the main places Ive lived) I will be writing about the
connection between Culture Universals and my country.

Institutions:

I have a nice Family. Even though there are some fights, or sometimes I
feel lonely, I still love my Family. In China, there are very less Families that
have more than one kid because of the Government. China have too many
peoplemore than 1,355,692,576 (July 2014) people!!! So that is why the
Government have to control the birth of the babies. (if you have another kid,
you will have to pay lots of money) The people in China believe if you learn &
practice more then you will have a nice job in future. There are lots of public
schools in China. But there are some private schools also, for ex. Shenzhen
Nanshan Bilingual school Usually the private schools learn english more
earlier than the public schools. Sometimes public schools learn english at 3rd
grade.

Beliefs:

China people have lots of religion and beliefs. People in China usually
are Taoism, Confucianism, or Christian. Its mostly because where do people
live: people in north China is near by Russian; people in east China is near by
Japan; people in south China is near by Singapore, Philippines; people in
west China is near by India. That is why Chinese people have different beliefs
and religion. Almost every parents, teachers in China believe in practice,
practice, and practice. If you practice more, you will know it right directly. Very
less parents and teachers in China believe in real life study. They think like
the Americans and Europeans because in these places the teacher usually
make some activities and let the children learn in play.

Recreation:

Chinese have lots of old and new games, and all of them are fabulous!
Jumping ropes, Tag, Shuttlecock, Words Solitaire, Jumping over long rubber
bands They can be very fun, and help you learn. Before, the babies mostly
have wood dolls or wood horses. But, when they are kids, playing with little
glass ball is not a new thing. Also, lots of children learn how to play table
tennis when they are young because it is the ball state of China. In P.E,
Chinese kids usually run, line up, play games, ball games. Even though there
is not so much materials to let all children play in China, but there are fun
everywhere. I guess, 1st of June is the best day for Chinese children because
it isChildrens Day!!! You get to play fun games in class rooms: balance the
ping-pong ball, guessing game, pop balloon and also, you can go to other
class rooms that have other games. Of course, the second best day is their
birthday because they get friends present and dont have to give cupcakes in
school. Most kids have their birthday in KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut fast
food places. New year is very nice for parents because you get to go back to
your own home.(where the grandparents live) If the child have cousins, it will
be also fun for children.

Economy:
People will need money for there wonderful life,
but how? The men usually do these work: office,
work, work, work The women usually do these
work: home, care, food, play with kid, help
These are VERY different! Mostly men works in
office, and women work in home, that is because
before People like men goes to the war, be a
officer of a emperor. And women just stay home,
sew, help kids, cook. So that is why now, there
are still some people think that the women is not
stronger than men. But there are also some
women work a lot, like most teachers, nurse are
women. Some people bike to work, but some
dont. There are lots of people in China and that is
why when it is 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 5:00-8:00 p.m
(work time/ home time) there are lots of traffics.

Language:

China have her own languageChinese. Even

though there are lots of kind, but there are some
similarities. The most common Chinese is the standard
Chinese that everyone should use in China. Announcer
from Channel CCTV 13 always say standard Chinese
because it is the China news. But there are
also some other Chinese: Cantonese,
Taiwanese Also, there are lots of kind of
fonts. The most famous ones are: Italic and
Times new Roman.

Environment:

China is mostly a place with grounds

and mountains. Only somewhere like
Taiwan, HongKong, Shenzhen, Macau is
next to the Ocean. Because of China is a
big country, so that there are different
places with different weather. East and south China is hot but north is cold,
west is hot and cold. Sometimes when you are at inner Mongolia, then at
morning you will be super hot and stiffing. But at night it will be freezing, like
the Sahara weather. But the place where Ive born, is pretty warm instead of
hot. There will be stormy, rain, cloudy, sunny weathers over there even
though lots of times are rainy. But in Beijing, it is a different hot, very hot. 35
degrees is not so shocking, plus the people in Beijing. When the people were
in a Bus, sweating smell is very common. Most people wear normal shirt like
T-shirt, Jeans, Dress. But in some minorities the people wears traditional
cloth. Mostly people think that in Beijing, Shanghai, they wear Tang dynasty
cloths. The people call this Traditional. Because in Tang dynasty, there are
lots of poem writer, so when the students present on stage the poems, they
will wear Tang dynasty cloths.

Art:

There are lots of Art in China. Lots of arts are handmade: embroidery,
cross stitch, paper cutIve tried out cross stitch, it is just like drawing a
picture on thread circle. First, you will get a circle that has white thread, then
you will sew on the circle and make shapes you like. But most of the cross
stitches are flowers. Buildings in Beijing are also famous around the world.
Tian-an-men, Jiu-Zhai-Gou, Forbidden City All Chinese people should

know what are these places because they are famous all over the world!
Paper was made in China, the earliest paper making. So when the people in
ancient, they also draw with ink, the ink artworks are famous in China. Some
of them have dark green, pink in it because it is drawing about nature. Most
times it is only black, mountains and waves are so beautiful that you can
dance with the lines in the drawing.

Conclusion:

China is a really rich place than every one thought. The culture in there is old
but more history. All the I love my culture, and Im proud of everything she
have.
