Old/Continued Business
There is no old/continued business.

New Business
I. Areas of Interest (listed in order of most important to least important)
A. Education- Education is very important in any community. Citizens and children
that live in a community need to be educated in order to make smart decisions that will
benefit and contribute to the community. Citizens need to be educated and able to
work, contribute, make smart decisions, and be able to survive in the 21st century with
21st century education.
B. Crime Prevention- Almost just as important as education is crime prevention.
Safety is a main concern for all people. People have no way of living in harmony and
happiness unless they know that they are safe. With crime prevention, we hope to give
people that needed safety that they so desperately want and need. Crime will not be
tolerated in the Village of Gingerton. Prevention strategies that we have put in place
thus far include: Crimestoppers and Neighborhood Watch. We hope that these two
programs will give us a base for providing safety to the people of the Village of
Gingerton.
C. Infrastructure Concerns- Infrastructure is defined as being the fundamental
facilities and systems serving a country, city, or area, such as transportation and
communication systems, power plants, and other schools. We find infrastructure to
be a main priority in our village so that we can have smooth systems. One such
system is roadways. Roadways is a big concern of the people within the village as it

affects not only safety of the people, but the smoothness and speed of traveling as
well. Another such system is the sewer lines. Of course, people need to have proper
sewer lines that are going to rid the waste of the people of the village. Other important
examples of infrastructure include: communication, water, and electricity.
D. Attracting Businesses- Attracting businesses is also very important to a
community. In order to have money and such, businesses must come to our village.
When businesses come to our village it brings us money from them having to pay
taxes on the buildings, it fills up our buildings, and it brings in population. Bringing in
as much business as possible will greatly improve our village.
E. City Beautification- It is a proven fact that nobody wants to live in an unpleasant
city. Therefore, we deem it necessary to not put this concept as a full priority, but not
to put it as the last priority. With the priority we give to city beautification, we hope to
repair old buildings and plant vegetation within the city limits. Our goal with this
priority is to simply attract people with a beautiful city that they can be proud to live
in, and be a part of.
F. Cultural Improvements- Everyone that wants to come and live in our community
needs to feel like their welcome. However, everyone feeling welcome is not worth a lot
of funding. Yes, everyone needs to feel like they are not hated, but its not worth
money getting all of these art centers and theaters to add a cultural aspect to the
community. We can use the money that we are not spending to build new buildings,
schools, and attract businesses.
II. Building a New High School
A. The current population of our Village of Gingerton is approximately 5,000
people. To accommodate the children in our population, we have one
elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. However, our
population is growing extremely fast. This is turn means that our schools are
starting to become overcrowded. Therefore, we have decided it would be best to
build a new high school. This is so because, with our available funding, we find
it to be a better option to go ahead and build a new school rather than to add
on to the old one. There have been many problems with the current high school
in terms of condition. The price for us to fix these conditions is much too high
compared to that of building a new high school. The total amount of spending
money our village has after paying all of its expenditures is $2,202.350. This is
obviously not enough money to pay for the construction of a whole new
school. Therefore, we plan to pay a little at the time for the school. First, we will
acquire a loan that we will then pay back a little each month. We hope this
decision will accommodate the need of our village. Education is what we
believe to be the utmost priority of the Village of Gingerton. Building this high
school will help us achieve our priority goals as we deliver students who are
ready to become citizens in the 21st century.

III. Building a New Factory

A. Our villages current unemployment rate is 11%. That means that out of our
villages total population of 5,000 people, 550 people are unemployed. This is a
lot of people. In order to fix this issue, we have decided to let General Electrics
build their factory along one of our rivers on the outskirts of town. By building
this factory, 1,000 new jobs will be created, which will be able to do more than
just fix our unemployment issue. In addition to the jobs that will be created,
money will also be brought in by the company. General Electrics is a large
company that is well recognized. Therefore, the potential this company has for
generating big revenue is very high. In addition, with a factory like this in our
small village, we will then have the potential to grow and to become better
known within our state. With those reasons, we hope that by building this
factory, that it will provide better opportunities to the people of the Village of
Gingerton. However, with all of this being said, we understand the
environmental risk that we are creating by putting up this factory. Although we
care about the people of the Village of Gingerton, we also care very much for
the wildlife. One such example of wildlife present in the Village of Gingerton is
water fowl. By building this factory we are creating the possibility for these
birds to become extinct. Therefore, we have decided to build a water fowl
preservation center. This preservation center will be a temporary fix to the
issue, until a more permanent solution can be made. The funds for the
preservation center will again come with the money we have available left to
spend. In addition, money from grants will also be acquired as we are
preventing these precious creatures from becoming extinct. Factories often
have the potential of runoff pollution. If we start to see this problem, then we
will have a plan of action already put in place. This solution is to acquire
weight lines. Weight lines are strings of freshwater shellfish that are placed
within the specific body of water. Over time, the shellfish filter the pollution in a
continuous pattern. This will be the safest, cheapest, and most natural way of
filtering out any pollution that comes from the construction of a factory. We
also understand that by building this factory, that we will be forced to have to
cut down three acres of trees. The best solution to this issue is to plant the
trees elsewhere. Moreover, we will be gaining a profit from the trees being cut
down. As we replant them elsewhere, the trees should not be a big issue to the
environment. We hope that these solutions fix any potential environmental
factors that may come from building the factory. We hope that by building this
factory in the Village of Gingerton, that we are paving a way to a brighter
tomorrow and brighter future for the wonderful people of the Village of
Gingerton.
