Do Marketers Create Needs or No?

Every human have basic requirements like air, food, water, clothing and shelter to survive.
These requirements called needs. Generally needs are the states of felt deprivation
(Kotler&Armstrong, 2012). People also have strong needs for recreation, education, and
entertainment.(Kotler&Lanekeller, 2009).
Human needs, wants and demands create a workplace for marketers. Marketers did not create
this needs; they are basic part of the human makeup.(Kotler&Armstrong, 2012). So basically
these needs are exist in nature but marketers create perception of needs. Also marketers cant
affect needs but they can influence wants with other societal factors. For example a marketer
cant create a need for a car but might promate the idea that a BMW would satisfy a persons
need for social status.
In conculusion; every need comes with human makeup and marketers use this needs for
influence wants. Needs preexist marketers (Kotler&Lanekeller, 2009). Marketers did not
create these needs; they are a basic part of the human makeup (Kotler& Armstrong, 2012).
