Market Day

Since I did not get the book orders out at

the beginning of the month I am extending
the due date for book orders in November.
The new due date will be Tuesday, November
28th. Please send in cash or order online with
the following information:
Class Code: MBTXW
If you order online it makes it faster for your
childs books to come in. Normally I have to
have a $25 minimum to get free shipping,
but with online parent orders shipping is
automatically free!

Market Day helps provide funds for the 5th

graders to go to 5th grade camp. If you have had
a child go through 5th grade camp already, you
know how much they love it! Supporting this
fundraiser helps these students lower the cost
of 5th grade camp so more students have an
opportunity to go! In turn, you get delicious food
that you can just pop in the oven and save some
time on dinner!

Thank you to all of those who donated

to participate in the Hats for Heroes
day, as well as the pajama fundraiser
to support the little boy at Harvest
Ridge who was injured on Halloween
while trick or treating. I know the
students felt personally committed to
helping the little boy who was struck
by the car on Halloween. Some of the
students even said they wanted to
donate their whole allowance, even if
they didnt wear pajamas. I believe
that is a testament to how you have
raised your children, and I am so
impressed with how empathetic they
are. So again, thank you for your
donations, I know it will make a huge
impact.

Thank you to those of you who have notified me that

your child will be absent from school when you know in
advance. Sometimes it will be possible for me to get the
work together in advance, and other times it may not. I
will do everything I can to make sure that if something
cant be sent home, we make it up in class. If your child
is absent due to illness please let the office know by

calling, or sending an email.

Word Study
We will be continuing our spelling/phonics
curriculum Monday, 10/20 when we return from
break. Please keep a look out at the beginning
