Reality

The look of fear in their eyes

As the cruelty catches them quite by surprise
Forced to work to no end at the concentration camp
Leaving their dreams for the future wet and damp

Is it bad to want to be free?

To know the feeling of happiness and glee
But yet, they cant, because of these men
Who keep them trapped inside an enormous wire pen

Separated from their loved ones at entry

The experience traumatising and scary
Deprived of food, the feeling of hunger
Makes it hard for them to fall into slumber

Every day they fight for survival

To end this never-ending torture cycle
But theres nothing they can do at the end of the day
As they finally slip away...
