Each Question mentioned in this assignment should be answered within the word

The student should only use the Rule sheet papers for answering the questions.
The student should attach this assignment paper with the answered papers.

Specific Instructions:
There are four Questions in this assignment. The student should answer all the
four questions. Marks allotted 100.
Each Question carries equal marks (25 marks) unless specified explicitly.
The answer should not exceed the world limit of 200 words.
Question No 1
Can Benchmarking and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) be applied and
implemented by an organization at the same time? Explain various methods of data
gathering and types of Benchmarking.
Question No 2
Continuous improvement (CI) is the method of improving quality in all spheres. Explain
various methods to implement CI in TQM projects. Also draw Demings Quality wheel
and briefly describe its use.
Question No 3
What is the underlying principle of ISO 9000 (Quality Management systems) standards?
Explain the utility of various standards under ISO 9000 family and list out important
documents to be maintained to obtain QMS certification.

Question no 4
Quality has been defined by Dr JURAN as Fitness for use. Explain this statement to
bring home how the various dimensions of quality justify the above. Also state JURANs
trilogy for quality achievement.
