Propaganda is Poison
Throughout the years the media has been an extravagant impact on the outlook of citizens
of a country. This could be such a thing as The Japanese internment camps during world war
two. Also would cover the topic of the Gulf War, their leaders telling their people that American
troops was, not within their countrys boarder, to keep moral high. This could even reflect on the
way that Hitler and his Third Reich spread fear, and untruths to obtain power, and to distill fear
into the hearts and minds of everyone not born like his perfect image of a person. What do
people think? What do people actually know? Do people have the correct information? Or is
everything that they believe and know, a lie made up my media to help favor a side of their
choosing?
After the eruption of the Second World War, the Japanese Imperial Navy, and Air force
attacked America dragging them into the conflict. This action caused fear that there could be an
attack on the main land or even worst, an attack from the inside, as fear of Japanese sleeper cells
came into mind, the government acted fast. The easiest way to describe it, it was almost like
what Hitler was doing, except that they was only being held, they was not forced to work, and
they was fed daily. Although to get this action through the media and let it sit easy in the
American publics eyes they portrayed that they would only be there as long as it took to clear
them to be sure they was no immediate threat to the general public or America as a whole. These
people, women, children, and men was all rounded up forced from their homes, and thrown into

a camp and told to stay there for the rest of the

war. This was in 1941, the war did not end until
1945, that meaning 4 years without being near
their homes, not even knowing if they would
have a home to return too. America did no
compensation for these actions except for telling
them they was free to go home, for many, they
returned home to find their houses and
possessions looted and found to be homeless.
Yet the American public knew nothing of this
until just a few years ago, when the official
military documents on this matter was released.
Meaning the media had this topic covered up
and the public believing that they was in the
right and there was nothing wrong with what they was doing to innocent Americans, and
Japanese.

Desert Storm was an immense topic of propaganda, for both America and Iraq. America
used propaganda to promote the war, because of all that would be gained from the war, such as
the oil, and the influence in those countries. The easiest way to influence the media is to embed
reporters surrounded by PR enablers. Said an unknown source. Throughout this conflict
America and Iran both used propaganda for the wrong reasons. America used propaganda that
the United States was going there to help people, when in all truthfulness they only wanted the
profit and the oil fields that would be won from the conflict. Where the Iranian government used
propaganda to keep the publics moral up, this being as going on national television and telling
the public and civilians that there was no foreign troops within its countries borders.

Adolf Hitler during World War Two used

propaganda to fulfill all of his political actions
and movements. During this time starting in 1933
in Hitlers rise to power through the German
Labor Party, Hitler used all kinds of propaganda
to have his bidding done. While Hitler was
incarcerated he wrote a book, Mein Kampf this
book foretold how he was going to go about
taking over the German government. Within this
document Hitler explained in full detail how to
control the public with just a few untruths and

lies. Hitler also used propaganda to round up those who he did not like, such as the Jewish and
Catholic, offering people money rewards or even saying things like It is for the greater good of
the country. This is an exert from Hitlers book "Propaganda must not investigate the truth
objectively and, in so far as it is favourable to the other side, present it according to the
theoretical rules of justice; yet it must present only that aspect of the truth which is favourable to
its own side. This is proof that Hitler knew the power of propaganda as a politician and as a
General of an army.

In conclusion, what do we know?

We are not sure. Throughout history the
media has lied to us. But what can we do?
So far the world only knows what the
reporter tells them, unless seen in first
person. Today would be a different planet if
there was no propaganda to poison the
minds of the citizens of Earth. Propaganda
when used effectively can have an
extremely deadly effect on people and

countries. As a final note, another exert from Hitlers, Mein Kampf, The receptive powers of the
masses are very restricted, and there understanding is feeble. On the other hand, they quickly
forget. Such being the case, all effective propaganda must be confined to a few bare essentials
and those must be expressed as far as possible in stereotyped formulas. These slogans should be
persistently repeated until the very last individual has come to grasp the idea that has been put
forward.
