Cheboygan Community Diabetic Clinic

Job Advertisement:

Cheboygan Community Diabetic Clinic is looking for compassionate volunteers to help

direct patients to diabetic resources, assist the doctor and nurses as needed, and perform
clerical tasks. This is a great opportunity to help your community and gain clinical
experience.
If interested, please contact the office manager at the Cheboygan Community Diabetic clinic
for an application. She can be reached at officemanager@CCDC.net and 231-555-1234.

To place this advertisement in The Cheboygan Daily Tribune, the open rate is $11.50 per column
inch. The Mackinac Journal would publish an advertisement once a month and the cost is $60 for
1/8th of a page. (Cheboygan Daily Tribune, 2013)
To place an advertisement in the Diabetes Forecast (a professional journal of the American
Diabetes Association), the cost would be $13,440.00 for one time. This price is very high and it
would be not be fiscally responsible to use so much money to look for volunteers. At this time,
we will not be publishing our advertisement in a professional journal. (American Diabetes
Association, 2014)
Another source that would be useful to advertise for a volunteer position would be to post a flier
at a nearby college. North Central Michigan College is located in Cheboygan and offers degrees
in health sciences. To place a flier in the science building would be free, besides the cost of paper
and printer ink (figured into the following budget).
