Introduction Ta raori Taraori town is situated at a distance of about 117 kilometers from Chandigarh and 136 kilometers from Delhi tis 16 km north of Kamal, the district headquarter. It is very strategically located almost midway between Chandigarh and Delhi. The area has sweet underground water. ‘The town has developed as an important agriculture produce assembling market (Mandi) and attained international repute in export of Basmati Rice. ‘The Department of Town and Country Planning has prepared @ well conceived Development Plan for the twin towns of Nilokheri and Taraori with a view to provide congenial ving environment. Sector-1, situated in close proximity to the NH-+1, is the first sector to be developed by HUDA at Taraori. It has been planned along modern town planning lines with LOCATION MAP SECTOR 1, TARAORI provision of adequate open spaces/Parks and quality infrastructure sites like High School, Community Centre, Poly Clinic, Play Way School, Working Women Hostel, Old Age Home and Police Station ete.
