A Chara,

Motions for the Tipperary county council December 2014 meeting in the names of Cllr. Samie
Morris M C C , Catherine Carey M C C , Martin Browne MC C , David Dunne M C C and David
Doran MC C
1. That this authority calls on the Government to respect the wishes of hundreds of thousands
of ordinary Irish citizens including many thousands in this municipal area by abolishing
Irish Water (Uisce ireann) and returning it's staff and financial resources to the local
authorities who are best positioned to upgrade the water infrastructure throughout the
country.
2. That this authority recognises the economic importance of all our water particularly Lough
Derg to Co. Tipperary, and because of that this Authority calls for a referendum on keeping
the waters of the state in the ownership of all the citizens of the state.
3. that this authority requests that all correspondance from Tipperary addresses sent to Irish
Water ( Uisce Eireann) which included P P S numbers be sent back to the people that sent
them in as they are the rightful owners of the numbers and Irish Water have no need for
them and these returned forms be discounted from the numbers of people who have signed
up for Irish Water (Usice Eireann)
Regards,
Cllrs. Samie Morris MCC , Catherine Carey M C C , David Dunne M C C, David Doran M C C ,
Martin Browne M C C .
