Space
Space is big and vast. Our solar system was
formed about 4.6 billion years ago. It is made up
of dust, gas, stars, planets, comets, asteroids,
moons, and the list goes on and on. There is still
a lot that we have to learn about space and galaxies but we are exploring it more and more every

There are nine planets in our solar system. These nine

rocky particles. They orbit the sun just as the
planets do but they are not always visible. Asteroids are made of rock, metal, and other organic
material. These are similar to comets but they are
not visible with a tail. A meteoroid is just a small

rock or particle of debris from our solar system.

Meteoroids sometimes head towards Earth but
they are always burned up in Earths atmosphere.
