1. Question: Who was William States Lee?
Reason: This question is to see if everyone has at least heard of him before.
2. Question: Why is the College of Engineering named after him?

Reason: This is one of his biggest contributions, towards the university and people should
know about it.

ason: William States Lee worked for Duke Power for many years and was a major
asset towards the company.

Reason: William States Lee worked with Duke Power for many years and was important
to the company.

Reason: Duke Power has several nuclear power plants and they are very involved with
nuclear energy.

Reason: He is from Charlotte and this seems like something important for people to
know, especially those involved in the Lee College of Engineering.
7. Question: Where did William States Lee graduate from?
Reason: This would be a nice question to see if people know that he did not go to UNC
Charlotte, even though the College of Engineering is named after him.
8. Question: What did William States Lee do at Duke Power?
Reason: It may be important to know how important he was for the company and to see
how successful he was.

Reason: A survey question that may show how large Duke Power is around the Charlotte
area.

Reason: It is important to know dates of historical events that has happened at the
university, this could be considered one of them.

Reason: A possible question Ican ask if Ican interview someone who has met him r
worked with him. This information would be nice to know so Ican explain more about
him as an individual.

Reason: After attending school, it would be interesting to know why he moved back to
Charlotte to work for Duke Power.

Carolina-Charlotte?
Reason: He did not attend UNC Charlotte, so it would be interesting to know why the
University of North Carolina recognized him to name the College of Engineering after
him.
14. Question: Other than the Lee College of Engineering, what other contributions has
William States Lee made towards UNC Charlotte?
Reason: This may be important to know to explain how involved with UNC Charlotte he
was, or did he just help the College of Engineering.
15. Question: Other than with Duke Power, what other jobs did William States Lee have?
Reason: This could help explain how he got involved with engineering or with Duke
Power.

could help explain long term impacts William States Lee had.

Reason: It seems that Duke Power has a lot of work with nuclear energy, it could be
important to know if William States Lee supported this or not.

Reason: When researching, it is important to know the legacy that William States Lee left
on UNC Charlotte.

Reason: It could be beneficial for his character if the power discipline had anything to do
with his connections with the university.

Reason: This is important to explain if his impacts with Duke Power was just within the
state, the country, or internationally.
