Introduction :
1. Students will be shown the video Similes and Metaphors in Pop Songs

This will grab classs attention because it will be relatable to them,
connecting well known songs to the lesson.

Students will be given slips of paper with similes and metephors on it,
they will be grouped up and as a group they will identify and group
them, separating the similes from the metaphors, and students will fill
out the worksheet and be graded.
Students will be assigned to find 5 similes/metaphors in songs or
favorite books of theirs, or personal examples.
The current class novel will be analyzed as well and literary elements
must be recognized and recorded.
Students will be quizzed over all topics covered in class.
