Frederick Douglass Boulevard Alliance present Harlem Holiday Windows.
A HARLEM HOLIDAY WINDOW DISPLAY THAT TAKES YOU ON A JOURNEY THROUGH DIFFERENT ERAS IN
HARLEM HISTORY! FEATURING AN ORIGINAL STORY WRITTEN, PERFORMED AND
ILLUSTRATED BY LOCAL HARLEM ARTIST.
NEW YORK CITY, Jacqueline Orange/Taste Harlem Food & Cultural Tours spearheaded the holiday initiative
along with curator, Omo Misha. Storyteller, writer, actor Daniel Carlton developed The Heart of Harlem: A Holiday
Story. A Free kick off will take place on December 2, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with a Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at
th
Frederick Douglass Circle, located at 110 Street and Frederick Douglas Boulevard, presented by Friends of
Frederick Douglass Circle. A free guided tour will follow the lighting ceremony to participating HP2P, FDBA
& HTB sites with a live performance by Daniel Carlton. The story will take you on a holiday journey through the
mind of Chaz, an eleven year old boy in Harlem, who loves horses.
