Mr. H, also known as Mr. Hudson, is a phenomenal R&B singer and one of my favorite
singers from Birmingham. Mr. Hudson currently at the age 35 began his music career as a
member of a band called The Library, with whom he recorded his first album in 2006. He is also
a songwriter who has written numerous songs for other artist, and he is currently signed to three
record labels: Good Music, Mercury Records and Universal Music Group. Thus, he has
completed various collaborations with artists such as Jay Z, Kanye West, and Rosie Oddis. Mr.
Hudson talent has emerged from being in a band; later being featured on other artists songs and
writing songs has allowed him to constantly grow in his career as an R&B artist
Mr. Hudson is a work in progress doing collaborations and working with people is what
he is about. On March 5, 2007, his album entitled A Tale of Two Cities, as his first album
consisted of six people, known as his band The Library Mr. Hudson leads the group which
includes Ben Hudson (Vocals & Guitar), Joy Joseph (Vocals & steel drum), Trouville Jones
(Piano), Raphael Mann (Bass guitar), and Willkie Wilkinson (electric drums), being on album
consisting of twelve songs. Hudson and The Library would go on tours, and perform at festivals
around London where the band is originated from. The band also supported Kanye West Glow
in the Dark Tour.
In 2008, Kanye West would sign Mr. Hudson to his record label Good Music. Mr.
Hudson has not departed from Universal Music Group; in fact Good Music is under Universal

music group. He made his debut as solo artist, and the library would perform in the back of him
for live performances. He was put to work soon as he got signed Mr. Hudson would feature on
Mr. West album 808s & Heartbreak as a vocalist. Kanye West allowed Mr. Hudson to write
the chorus to a song entitled Supernova and his album, something new to Mr. Hudson, at the
time he stated I dont really write choruses like that, perhaps because I dont see myself as
being that big, stadium-filling artist, or I didnt, but I suppose the last six months has given me
the confidence to say, You know what? I would like to play to stadiums full of people. I would
quite like to sell loads of records to have a Jaguar of my own (Robert).
After Mr. West album Mr. Hudson came out with an album of his own entitled Straight
No Chaser" One of his songs featured Kanye west entitled Supernova a number 2 single. In my
opinion Mr. Hudson music is better as a vocalist and being featured on songs. And that would
come to light when he starts collaboration on Jay z album Blueprint 3. He worked on a song
entitled Young Forever and two other songs. Young Forever was more popular and made Jays
song in the top 10, best songs in 2009. Mr. Hudson was being thrown into the light and was not
expecting to blow up this quick, he stated, I hope Jay Jay-Z still likes it. I call him Jay like
Ive met him more than twice, but we flipped [Bob Dylan's] Forever Young. But to be on a
Jay-Z album and a Kanye West album in six months Im pinching myself. To be honest, it just
does not sink in (Roberts). He had to put himself out there to be known, while the opportunity
was given.
The next big thing in plan was Watch the Throne collaborating with Jay z and Kanye
West on this album. He added a little soul to the album. He did a song entitled Why I Love,
Helping Jay z and Kanye win awards, outside of collaborations with these two. He has also done
completed other works with other artists. Mr. Hudson writes tracks, produces tracks, and serves

as an album consultant for other artists. He helped a variety of artist in the UK. The names of
some of the artist were Josh Kumra Hand of Cards song and Tyler James an Album entitled A
Place I Go Mr. Hudson also helped an artist Sway to reach top ten singles in the UK. One of his
Best collaboration of all time is with Rosie Oddie. The Album is entitled Never Grow Up
released in 2012. He co-wrote and produced the album. His best works is still with the
collaborations with Jay zs Young Forever is his best work.
Some of his current work is solo he has done a single entitled Fred Astaire in 2013. It is
an old school R&B and is very good. In 2013, he collaborated with rapper Future and singer
Miley Cyrus they worked on a song called the real and the true. Mr. Hudson has an impeccable
voice. Thats why he is my favorite R&B singer. I cannot wait until he comes out with his album
that he is working on. He said he is making a comeback he stated, It feels like a comeback with
a small c. I dont feel like Ive ever been away, but obviously if youre not out there, with that
A-list single on Radio 1, then maybe for the vast majority of people you are for all intents and
purposes dead. I mean, the Twitter comments you get, Are you dead? And you think, well if
I am who are you tweeting? But its great to be putting music out. Its great to have another
record out and to be gearing up for the album" (Foster).

People fail to realize he is a writer,

producer, vocalist and R&B artist and is takin R&B to the next level. He does what he loves the
best, bringing the greatest music to the world even if hes writing lyrics behind the scene. And
still he is working with music, it is all the same. His phenomenal talent will continue to expand
across music culture at a phenomenal rate, either if he goes solo or through collaborations. Mr.
Hudson will be one of the best; in fact he is already the best to me. He has a motivation and his
mind set is young forever.
