2. Prior Knowledge
Prior knowledge will be assessed by:
Upon entering the classroom, the students will be asked to write one word that they associate with meditation on the board.
Beginning the class with by asking the class to brainstorm in small groups about the possible benefits (~2-3) of meditation on the
body. Each group will then be asked to present their ideas in front of the class.
Ideas will be written on the board as a list to be compared to after the lesson.

to explore meditation apps on
their smartphones for about 5
minutes.
I will then ask each student to
give a brief overview of the
app they explored.
I will play the second half of
the video.
I will instruct the class to
highlight the benefits they felt
during/after the meditation
activity on their lists created.
I will then hand out the
meditation paper guidelines.
