Summative Assessment:

Summative Assessment is the evaluation of participants and its intended


purpose to present what students have learned in the curriculum by summarizing
their development. It is describe as the culmination of learning process rather than
a separate event as it measures growth after instructions is used in determining if
the goals are being met. Summative is use in evaluating learning, skills, and
achievements at the end of the designed instructional phase. The three criteria
most commonly contrasted is test, assignment, and project in determining a
student learning progress at any particular time.

Formative Assessment:
Formative Assessment is a process used by instructors in providing
feedback in teaching or improving how student achievement is intend and its
instructional outcome. It evaluates students academic needs in the development
within the classroom and proceeds with benchmark assessments. This evaluation is

referred to as methods used in teaching to conduct the process of assessments,


comprehension, and learning needs for academic purposes. It identifies concepts
used in instructional techniques that help in understanding those who are
struggling. Formative collects detailed information used in initiating the process by
modifying its teaching and learning practices.
Formative assessment is an integral part of the effectiveness of education, its
integration divided into two parts teaching, and learning process. The evaluation of
developmental and principle characteristics is the quality of information use to
assist in identifying learning need and problems in understanding those with
academics strength, and weakness. While developmental instructions can either be
written or verbal in determining its use in Curriculum- Based Measurement (CBT),
it is a standardized measure used to help in determining students programs.
