Lesson Sequence
Listen to the piece A Fireside Christmas (either for the
first time or again)
Begin playing the piece by playing the whole way
through.
Have the students self-assess their sight-reading of the
piece. What went well/What didnt go well/What part
gave you the most trouble?
Go back and work on the sections that seem to have
given them the most trouble and begin working on those
sections.
Put those sections together as an entire piece.
