Good Afternoon Mike,

I have not been able to discuss the availably of our services with our Engineering Manager but below is a
suggested procedure you can use to troubleshoot your injector and some tips on possible vacuum issues
problems. I have to caution you for liability reasons that these suggestions are for your information only
and not an attempt on Buflovaks behalf to provide troubleshooting procedures to your Evaporator.
Injector Troubleshooting
Install an accurate vacuum gage (McLeod gage or Mercury manometer) on the suction side of the
injector.
Close the gate valve isolating the jet form the system.
The vacuum gage should read the specified no load suction pressure. If it does not you have a bad
injector or and injector that is operating out of specified parameters.
If the suctions side vacuum is not in specs. check
Wet steam
Low steam pressure
Blockage in atmospheric vent
Inadequate cooing water flow to inter condensers
Visual check for worn, blocked or eroded nozzles and diffusers.
See attached document for typical vacuum problems.
I hope this information is helpful. As soon as I can get with my Engineering Manager I will contact
you. Please keep me updated regarding if the conditions or situation changes significantly.

Best Regards,
George
