PART 1 Instructions:
The class will be divided in two big groups. One group will represent a right-wing
party and the other one, a left-wing party.
Name your party and sign in the table given.
I (teacher) will be the President of the Republic of Class (our country). I will
propose you a law for the class in a piece of paper, i. e.: There will be no more
talking in the class, only silence will be permitted. As the Presidents give you a
proposal, you will have to discuss in your group whether you agree with or not. You
will have 7 minutes to discuss a law.
After discussing, you will have to write down the arguments you have discussed.
You have 3 minutes to finish the writing, a model will be given to you.
Then, name a Representative of your party to come to the front and discuss with the
others wing Representative the points you approved or disapproved and back up
your partys opinion. Each Representative will have 1.50 minutes to present their
arguments and 1.50 more minutes to discuss to points your party does not agree
with the other Representative.
Afterwards, all of the members of this House of Representatives will have to vote
the bill. Three options are permitted: Yes/No/Pass. If a law has more than 50% +1,
it will be approved and applied for the time agreed in the bill.
Finally, the laws and rights will be published in the class room as the Constitution
Bill of the Class.
Note: As you are part of a Party, you can also propose rules to be discussed and
may be approved to be applied in the class.
