Pages are very well
organized, colorful and
it contains a lot of
drawings that would
help
in
the
engagement process.
This book can be
found in bookshops,
but not in every city of
this country. It can also

Not flexible. Teachers
have to follow the
order of the units,
because they start
from basic contents to
advanced ones, mostly
in grammar.
The book is
appropriated for the
level of the students.
The book provides
original material which
is contextualized with
the students needs in
terms of getting started
in English. Perhaps the
edition of the books is
not very recent, since I
used it when I was in
7th grade (2006).
It does not only
provide examples
focused on English
speaking countries,
because some of the
examples given are
oriented to Chilean
students and refer
directly to Chile.
There is no evidence
in official sites of the
ministry of education
the use of this
coursebook.
The activities of the
units have a warm up
or an elicitation part,
but after that it does
not present a coherent
order between practice
and production.
It is not necessary to
start from the first unit.
The teacher can start
from any unit and there
is not going to be a
difference in learning.
The instructions of the
activities in the course
book
are
clear;

REVIEW
This coursebook was specially designed and written for teenagers, because the topics,
colorful visual aids and activities are appropriated for their level and it also contextualizes
the students experiences and interests. English In Mind develops the four main skills and
there is a variety of exercises for an effective learning.
