Final Reflection

I feel as if my writing ability has grown throughout this class. I learned quite a bit from
the exercises we did in the book, earlier in the semester. I learned about some different types of
arguments. I learned what a rhetorical analysis is. After I first read the chapter for homework I
was still pretty confused and slightly afraid to even attempt to write one. After I started though I
felt it was fairly easy and wouldnt mind writing another one. As I said in my mini-reflection, my
favorite book assignment was the chapter about logical fallacies. I felt that the knowledge gained
in this chapter could be applied throughout life, for the rest of my life. Having peer reviews I felt
was a great aid to my learning process. Sometimes we would get together and none of us would
have a clear idea on what we were supposed to do, but each would understand a part of the
assignment. Together we could talk it out and figure out what the assignment was wanting us to
do. Peer groups also helped me get a better idea of what my reader was feeling as they were
reading my work, and then I could better improve upon it. The multi-genre project was daunting
at first, but after starting, it seemed easier as time went by. The hardest part of the class was
coming up with my line of inquiry. If I could go back I probably would have chosen a different
topic. A few weeks ago I actually thought of a different line of inquiry that I wished I had
chosen. I feel that creating different genres of work, instead of just writing more essays, gave me
a better perspective on how to approach presenting ideas in the future.
I believe you said this is where we are supposed to tell you what we changed in our
polished work. I only fix a few grammatical errors in my bibliography. In my rhetorical analysis
and round table essay I fixed almost all the grammatical errors and reworded a few lines that you
had marked as questionable or confusing.
