National School Safety and Security Services is a website that is committed and
dedicated to find ways to make schools safer. This website is directed by Ken Trump which
holds a MPA (Masters in Public Administration.) Ken has been working for 30 years trying to
make schools safer. He works across all of the fifty states and even internationally. Ken is a
father of two children that attend school. He (Ken) thinks that what he is doing is more than a
job. It is a mission. His website contains many ideas and sources that are very helpful in
preserving school safety.
This website has almost the same ideas that I have. After going through this website, I
feel that those people feel and hold the same responsibility that I feel towards the kids that are
going to school every day. I will be using this source quite frequently because it contains news
about schools and their safety status, blogs that are written by Ken that mentions ideas on many
different things related to school safety, safety plans, free books to read, and advices for parents
on their role in preserving school safety.
I think this source if a credible source for many reasons. Firstly, the formal name has the
word National which covers a huge community of schools. Secondly, this website was formed
in 1996 especially for this matter and has been on ever since, I wouldnt think this website is a
play around because it wouldnt last for 18 years if it wasnt specialized in this field. Also,
looking at the website staff and researchers, they are very experienced people that hold
bachelors degrees in this matter.

National School Safety Center is another website that provides information and resources
on how to make schools safer. They believe that in order for students to learn, ideal, safe
environments should be provided. It is a government website that tries in many ways to stop the
crimes that happen in schools.
Because it is a website that has the same points and ideas I am trying to prove, I will be
using many quotes that will support my ideas. They also provide products and tips on how to
make schools safe. Specially, they provide free resources and articles such as Schools and
Terrorism and many more. Considering it as a very big website and has many branches, some of
the articles are not very well supported and are very weak; these will not be considered.
This website is a credible source because it is a .us which means it is a government
website.

Now is The Time is a plan that was made by Barak Obama, the president of the United
States. It is supposed to help make schools and communities safer by reducing gun violence. It
has many things that the president wrote and strategies that are supposed to take place to make
schools safer.

This source will be used in my last point in my paper that supports the idea that the
government recognizes the problem, but never moves towards solving it. None of these strategies
and plans were actually considered or taken place.
It is a credible source because it is the white houses website and it is also a .gov
website.

NCPC or National Crime Prevention Council is a big website that has a small part that
speaks about schools safety. Just like the other sources, this one also provides information and
strategies on how to preserve school safety. I think it is a credible website because there is a
statement on the bottom of the page that says This web site is funded in whole or in part
through a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs. U.S.
Department of Justice

Is an article about a lawmaker that wants to pass the idea of arming teachers with Tasers.
I believe that it is a good article that supports my ideas and thought and will definitely be helpful
on my paper. I believe that it is a credible source because the News Observer is a well know
news website and it is directed and supervised by a well-known writers that are specialized in
this field.
