To Whom It May Concern: I am pleased to recommend Richelle Colucci-Nunn for a teaching position. Through my association with Richelle in Drexel University advanced graduate studies, I observed her unusually high potential for the education field. My experience with K-12 education provides a first-hand familiarity with the many challenges that face teachers and leaders in todays schools..Before I joined the faculty of Drexel University, I worked for over 25 years supervising school district curriculum, instruction and technology programs in four different school districts. I strongly believe that quality programs have an advantage when they can find candidates like Richelle, who are able to enter the profession with established track records of excellent academic credentials, significant life experience and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Richelle's social work credentials and past work in that field are excellent preparation for work in today's classrooms. In the award-winning School of Education program at Drexel University, Richelle has been thoroughly challenged and tested in state-of-the-art teaching practice and learning theory. She has distinguished herself in a number of ways. Her work demonstrates a high level of academic scholarship, a willingness to go beyond minimum expectations and a passion for teaching and learning. She realizes that great teachers engage students actively in learning by using a variety of instructional strategies. Her approach reflects a high degree of responsiveness in meeting student learning needs and in incorporating instructional technology as an educational tool. She is passionate about assisting students to live up to high expectations and helping students to meet their full potential. She has demonstrated the ability to offer students equitable, accurate and constructive feedback and assessments, as well as engaging them in creative activities and problem solving. I believe that dependability and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and parents will be areas of strength for Richelle. Just as important, she understands the importance of developing these qualities in her students. In summary, this candidate has what it takes to make a positive contribution to the field of education and to be an asset on any faculty, whether it is in a progressive learning environment or a more traditional one. I urge you to give her your fullest consideration. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require additional information. My direct phone numbers are 443-327-7115 and 443-4163695.
