MATERIALS:
Computer, PowerPoint, paper, research materials.
In this lesson we will create a PowerPoint how to properly set up a workout for a person and list the
proper techniques for the workout.
BACKGROUND and RATIONALE:
The key concepts of this lesson is mastering the physical fitness side of the health class.
Proper technique of the lifts and the reps of the sets for the workout.
When setting up a workout you need to know the sets and reps to put in the workout so goes back to
basic math.
How your body muscles break down and are rebuilt in working out.
PROCEDURES AND TIMELINE:
Introduction: How many of you work out? If you do or do not then how do you set up your reps for
your workout without overtraining yourself and make sure your eating the right foods?
Procedures: Provide a sequential (step by step) description of the procedures and activities for the
lesson.
1. In the first part of the lesson we will go over proper techniques and right ways of working
out.
2. Go to weight room of the football team and introduce the weights with proper ways of using the
weights.
3. Give out handout for their project of using PowerPoint to create a proper workout for a person
without overtraining that person.
4. In the project you need to list proper eating habits, right reps and sets to do, and how many times a
week youre supposed to do it.
Closure: For the closure of the lesson we will have the class present their workouts to the class and then
give a short test on the information presented from the class.

MODIFICATIONS:
One on one teaching with them students going more in depth about the subject.
Once the other students master the objective we will move on to next objective.
